Abbeydale Ballroom is Sheffield’s newest pool destination, bringing together a mix of English and American tables in a lively, social setting. With 3 English tables and 6 full-size American tables, there’s space for everyone — from casual players to seasoned cue pros.

A wide selection of mass-market beers, local craft ales, low and no selection plus gluten free options on draft and bottles. Working with Molson Coors – serving Asahi, Blue Moon, Madri, and then local breweries such as Abbeydale Brewery who brew just down the road.

THE SUMMER HOUSE

The Summer House Sheffield is a distinctive restaurant and bar located in the Dore area. This luxurious and bespoke venue is designed to provide memorable and relaxed dining experiences, offering a creative twist on traditional meals. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including breakfast, brunch, lunch, and a special Sunday menu. With its quirky ambiance.

The Summer House opened its doors in 2015. The building was originally a garden centre which is partly the inspiration for the Summer House's name. The building was then a pedal bike shop and from then was lovingly redesigned by the Summer House's owner, Kate Cavan, into the luxurious and bespoke restaurant it is today.

The addition of a conservatory, a log cabin shack and a tree house have all added to the Summer House's quirky feel and gives the restaurant ample seating, allowing our customers to choose which area to dine in. In 2019 The Summer House expanded again and acquired their new Eden area located at the back of the restaurant.

CHATSWORTH HOUSE

Chatsworth comprises a Grade I listed house and stables, a 105-acre garden, a 1,822-acre park, a farmyard and adventure playground, and one of Europe’s most significant private art collections.

Chatsworth House is renowned for its art, landscape and hospitality, and has evolved through the centuries to reflect the tastes and interests of succeeding generations of the Devonshire family. There are over 25 rooms to explore, including the magnificent Painted Hall, regal State Rooms, restored Sketch Galleries and atmospheric Sculpture Gallery.

The 105-acre garden is the product of nearly 500 years of careful cultivation. Over this time, although some points of interest were replaced to make way for new fashions, the garden retains many early features, including the Canal Pond, Cascade and Old Duke's Glasshouse.

BOTANICAL GARDENS

Situated close to the city centre, Botanical Gardens were opened in 1836 and now cover 19 acres. The gardens are listed by English Heritage as a Grade II site of special historic and architectural interest.

The main entrance is on Clarkehouse Road near the Hallamshire Hospital. There are also entrances at Botanical Road and Thompson Road off Ecclesall Road, with a 30 minutes walk or 10 minutes bike ride from the city centre. You are not allowed to cycle in the park.

The Grade 2 Glass Pavilions house a wonderful collection of plants from the temperate areas of the world and provide a wonderful backdrop for the sweeping lawns with their magnificent trees and central Broadwalk. Several winding paths take the visitor on an exploration through over 18 different garden areas based on geographical or botanical themes.

BRAGAZZI COFFEE

There's so much to love at this Italian cafe and deli: delicious homemade panini and cakes, scoops of gelato in summer, coffees expertly made from their own unique blend, and pannettone to take home at Christmas. On top of all that, there's the added bonus of Bragazzi's decor – the best in Sheffield. And, situated on Abbeydale Road, it's the perfect place to recuperate after a good rummage in the many nearby shops and centres of the Sheffield Antiques Quarter.

A place this packed with charm is, naturally, very popular – so aim to get there early at the weekends if you want to bag a spot on the comfy leather settees or (in summer) the outside tables.

Bragazzi is a small team of people, with different interests and experiences, but with a common appreciation for the somewhat overlooked, and at times undervalued occupation of shopkeeping, and the unrelenting pursuit of making good coffee.

MILLHOUSES PARK

Situated close to the city centre, Botanical Gardens were opened in 1836 and now cover 19 acres. The gardens are listed by English Heritage as a Grade II site of special historic and architectural interest.

The park is around one hour's walk or a 25 minute bike ride from the city centre and a number of different bus services operate down Abbeydale Road South which you can take to go to the park.

The park forms part of the River Sheaf corridor, which leads towards Sheffield's city centre. In the centre of the park there are formal flower beds offering a quiet and reflective area where park users can relax. There is a sensory garden with flowers, shrubs, herbs and other landscape features designed to stimulate the senses.
